I will be out town and I know several others will be away on trips for spring break so UY will not be meeting together next Wednesday night but will resume as usual the following week.

IMPACT - March 20th Deposit Deadline!

I will still be out of town on the 20th so if you plan on waiting till then to pay you can either leave it in my box outside the main office or Rosemary Ramsey and Christi Breedlove will both be collecting those deposits on my behalf.  

IMPACT JR. - June 17th-20th

IMPACT JR. is for those students entering the 7th grade through those entering the 9th grade next school year.  The full cost is $160.  A $25 deposit is due by March 20 to reserve your teens spot.

Spring Retreat - March 4-6 - Deadline closing in!

Alrighty… the deadline to signup for the retreat is this upcoming Sunday February 21.  There is no registration process, your payment will secure their spot.  Cost is $70.

Girls Sleepover - February 26

Next Friday the girls will have a sleepover here at the building.  Kailyn Brinyark and Riley Earnest will be chaperoning and things will kick off at 6:00pm.  They will need $5 for pizza, drinks and snacks.  Wrap up time will be Saturday at 9:00am.

It’s hard to believe it, but it is time to start prepping for the summer fun.  IMPACT has sent out their deadlines and so we need to reserve our spots.  Below is the breakdown.

Movie Night - February 6th - UY Room

Pretty self explanatory, we are going to watch a movie together... 6:00pm-9:00pm

Super Bowl Party - February 7th - UY Room

We are going to go potluck style on this one and just ask everyone to bring some sort of snack or food.  Game starts at 5:30pm so come whenever your heart desires.  This is a family event... all are invited.  

Spring Retreat - March 4-6

Deadline for payment is February 21st ($70).  Along with payment you will need to print off and sign the permission agreement that is required by Camp Butter and Egg for your teen to participate in the activities.  You can get that form HERE.

Spring Retreat - March 4-6

This year we will be headed to "Camp Butter and Egg" near Troy, AL to participate in their programming.  It will be a combination of high and low element ropes courses and zip lining. The cost for the weekend will be $70.  Deadline to sign-up/pay will be February 21st.

Girl's Christmas Party at the Sullivan's
This upcoming Tuesday night (Dec. 22) the Sullivan's are inviting the girls to come to their home for a girl's Christmas Party.  It will be from 6:00pm-10:00pm and they will have food, games and movie. Also, each girl should bring a pair of wrapped fuzzy socks.

Nicaragua Interest Meeting - Wednesday, December 16 - 5:30pm

This upcoming summer we are planning to take a group to Nicaragua.  This will be for those in High School and any parents that might be interested.  Just to get the ball rolling and see who all might be interested we are going to get together next Wednesday to talk about some very preliminary things.  If you or your teen has any interest at all in participating in this, next Wednesday would be a good start.  You aren't committing to anything by showing up.  This is designed to help you make a decision on whether this is the right opportunity for your family.  

Sneedville Trip - December 18-20

We are going to be taking a small group to Sneedville next weekend to visit with the families we have connected with in the past.  This is a last minute, quick trip but there have been some who went last time that have been wanting to return… so we are going to do so.  We will be leaving on Friday at 4:00pm and returning Sunday by noon.  The cost for the trip will be $50 which will cover lodging and gas.  

Gulf Coast Getaway - January 15-18th - $95

The College group is once again inviting any Juniors and Seniors to join them to go to Gulf Coast Getaway.  The cost is $95 which covers registration, lodging, and food for the weekend.  Deadline to sign up will be December 27th.

This Wednesday, November 25, the UY will not be meeting… enjoy your thanksgiving with your families.

UY Christmas Party - Sunday, December 6 - 5:00pm

The UY will be gathering at the building for this year’s Christmas party.  There are a couple of things I need to inform you on in order for your teen to be prepared to have a jolly ole time.

1. We are having an ugly Christmas sweater contest, so they should suit up with an ugly Christmas themed sweater with no shame.
2. Keeping with what we have done every year, we are asking every UY participant to create their very own homemade ornament.  It will be judged on creativity and overall awesomeness and the winner shall receive a stellar prize.  It will be hung on the tree with years past ornaments.
3. We are going to do a dirty santa exchange again but the gift should be something that they already have and are willing to part ways with… no purchasing anything, just something around the house that others would potentially like to have.

Small Group this week.

This only applies to those in our small group but I thought I would just go ahead and include it so I don't have to bog you down with another email.  This Sunday, November 29, we will be meeting at 6:00pm in the teen room.
